One of the challenges of growing Chambourcin is to control the vigorous nature of the vine and balance yields to allow for optimum ripeness and colour, at Misty Glen we believe that this is achieved.
- Winemaking
Chambourcin is often compared to Merlot for its softness and to Shiraz for its spiciness.
2014 was a hot dry summer producing intense fruit flavours.
- Tasting Notes
A medium bodied wine, fantastic slightly chilled in the summer. Mulberry and blackberry flavours with a hint of pepper and spice.
Naturally low in tannin for a soft mouthfeel.
Pronounced "Sham-Bore-San" !
